A key finding from APQC’s Collaborative Benchmarking study Rewarding, Engaging, and Retaining Key Talent is that successful employee engagement is a journey as opposed to a set of practices or a program. To be effective, drivers of employee engagement must be woven into organizational culture and integrated with other key aspects of talent management. Each best-practice organization featured in this study integrates engagement with a range of talent management practices, including selection strategy.
