APQC focused its 2013 Transferring and Applying Critical Knowledge Best Practices Study on strategies and processes for identifying, capturing, transferring, and applying knowledge. While conducting the study, APQC noted that several participating best-practice organizations had experienced defining moments, or inflection points, that caused them to launch or intensify their strategies for knowledge retention and transfer.
