This article describes how best-practice organizations pinpoint crucial knowledge and ascertain who has that knowledge. Included are case examples from three of the six best-practice organizations who participated in APQC's 2013 Transferring and Applying Critical Knowledge study: Kraft Foods Group Inc., Lloyd's Register: Marine, and Lockheed Martin.
