How Schlumberger Took Communities of Practice to the Next Level

For two decades, Schlumberger used custom-built software to support its world-leading communities of practice. But it recently shifted its community discussion forums (known as “bulletin boards”) to a cloud-based enterprise social networking application. At APQC's 2019 KM Conference, Schlumberger’s Alan Boulter and Joanna McAinsh outlined the business reasons for the change, stories and lessons learned from the transition, and plans for future integration.
