How to Pick the Right Supply Chain Measures

In a field driven by precision and efficiency, supply chain organizations are looking for the right measures to track their performance and indicate opportunities for improvement. APQC’s Open Standards Benchmarking® specifies key performance indicators for supply chain planning, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics processes, but organizations must still determine which of these measures are critical for their business.

Organizations can select the most appropriate measures for their supply chain function by making sure they consider organizational strategy. Building in a process for assessing the relevance and effectiveness of measures and effectively communicating supply chain performance can help organizations create a culture focused on superior performance.
