Despite the many advances in technology, most KM programs are still missing a piece: behavior change. There simply hasn't been a good, scalable way to intrinsically motivate people to share knowledge. At APQC's 2019 KM Conference, keynoter John Stepper explained how to use Working Out Loud (WOL) circles, a self-directed peer support method that has spread to a wide range of companies in over 50 countries. WOL can foster a more collaborative organizational culture by encouraging employees to take small steps to build and share with their networks.
