How Cognitive Computing Will Supercharge the Next Generation of Digital Sidekicks

Details

Most knowledge workers would create more value for their organizations if they could delegate routine administrative and information-gathering duties to others. However, it’s too costly and inefficient for firms to hire human assistants for everyone. With the introduction of the next generation of intelligent personal assistants, however, organizations may finally be in a position to minimize the time employees spend on mundane tasks, thus boosting their productivity on core work activities.

This use case was co-developed by APQC’s 2015-2016 KM Advanced Working Group, which studied emerging cognitive computing capabilities and their potential impact on knowledge management. APQC would like to thank the Advanced Working Group members for their participation and contributions: Deloitte, EY, NASA, Pfizer Inc., and U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).
