Project management offices (PMOs) at best-practice organizations have established a formal approach to review the budget, risk, and resourcing of projects in order to preemptively identify and mitigate risk. The benchmarking study found that best-practice organizations take a rigorous, systematic, and proactive approach when it comes to project management.
