Ensure Selection, Development, and Rewards Promote Core Leadership Behaviors



APQC's leadership survey research in 2014 revealed a top barrier to a more effective and dynamic leadership is an organization having selection, development, and reward practices that support an outdated approach to leadership. APQC's leadership case study research with Cardinal Health, Caterpillar, Ford Motor Co., Monsanto, and W.L. Gore underscored the importance of aligning HR practices with the leadership behaviors that an organization wants to promote.
