As organizations step back and look at how the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) role has changed since the Great Recession in 2008, there are very few areas within the enterprise that FP&A cannot add value. Internal and external organizational influences, process and systems, and the FP&A team members impact how an organization’s FP&A department is formed. These three main influences will develop the mission, set objective and goals, establish strategies and milestones, and help define capabilities.
