The best-practice organizations in APQC's Transferring and Applying Critical Knowledge study incorporate role-based knowledge transfer into their knowledge management processes. Some—such as Lloyd's Register and Kraft Foods—focus on traditional job handoff documents and knowledge maps to convey this type of information. Others, however, integrate the documentation of role-based knowledge into broader knowledge and talent management processes.
