Creating the Space for Critical Thinking and Decision Making: An APQC Advanced Working Group White Paper

Classic Content

Today’s increasingly complex work environment requires professionals to use their analytical and judgment skills more effectively than ever before. Given the recession and resulting layoffs, mergers and acquisitions, and general downsizing, people are being asked to do even more with less—again. This includes less time and space for collaboration, critical thinking, and decision making.

This white paper, co-authored by APQC and participants in APQC's 2009-2010 KM Advanced Working Group, discusses the need for organizations to create adequate psychological, virtual, and physical spaces to facilitate successful decision making.
