MITRE Corporation is a private nonprofit organization that manages federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs) sponsored by various U.S. government and military agencies. In this one-hour recording, Dr. Mary Ann Malloy, knowledge management principal at MITRE, describes her organization’s knowledge management (KM) journey and the incremental technology steps it has taken to reach its current level of KM capability. She also outlines the challenges faced and accomplishments achieved during MITRE’s evolution from the "wild west" of its early intranet. And as MITRE ponders the next stage of its KM development, Malloy describes her thoughts on the "KM-driven enterprise" and speculates on what new opportunities may lie ahead.
