In 2002, Caterpillar embarked on a journey to improve employee engagement. At that time, 50 percent of the organization’s employees were engaged. By 2009, opinion surveys revealed that more than 80 percent of Caterpillar employees were engaged. How did Caterpillar make this dramatic improvement in employee engagement?
