This presentation was given at APQC’s 2012 Process Conference by Steve Edinger, executive director, BPM/PMO, and Tricia Stelges, senior vice president, client operations, at Catalina Marketing. It focuses on the evolution of BPM from a whiteboard concept into a multi-year, multi-million dollar strategic process initiative across multiple business units. The presentation highlights three pillars of people, process, and technology that complete and measure the return on investment for a business process transformation project. It focuses on a 27-year-old company with data on more than 75% of U.S. shoppers and 130 million health consumers. There are examples of process models, change management, process improvement, and technology, as well as several lessons learned.
