During APQC's 2013 Process Conference, Michael Bellendir of Northrop Grumman explained how the organization began to explore alternative process improvement and sustainment methods. A self-governance solution coordinated with internal process improvement efforts was created. While many tools were in place that contributed to process sustainment and improvement, they were not sufficiently integrated to maximize communication and coordination. This presentation shows the benefits of combining self-governance and process improvement tools to achieve maximum cost and time savings.
