Rockwell Collins is an amalgamation of many different companies acquired over the years, and the operations organization of Rockwell Collins has developed a work directive process to unite these companies and standardized the processes and nomenclature for their work steps. To increase its value to the organization, the process has implemented a new governance process, set of standards, and a value chain methodology that aligns policy and procedure to achieve cross-functional optimized objects. Since its inception, there have been many projects to leverage this process and produce value for the corporation.
