This case study describes the ways in which the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) uses process management techniques, process modeling and documentation, and in-depth employee training and engagement strategies in the drive toward continuous improvement and superior efficiency and effectiveness scores in the realm of general accounting and reporting.
The OCC is among the top 10 percent of organizations identified by APQC as a top performer in general accounting and reporting. The overall research program generated a performance index that was derived from a series of statistical tests. This research was developed in collaboration with, and sponsored by, IBM.
