Enterprise Risk Management Best Practices Reports (Collection)

Details

Enterprise risk management (ERM) is a relatively nascent management tool in the corporate arena. APQC has engaged in four studies regarding the design, implementation and optimization of ERM: the first in 2006, the second in 2009, the third in 2011, and the fourth in 2014. To help APQC members gain a sense of how the reports build upon one another, we have included a series overview document. It is the first link in the list below. The reports will prove beneficial to anyone tasked with building and operating a robust ERM program. Readers will come to appreciate how the thinking about ERM has evolved over time. Readers will see how the comparatively narrow compliance-driven mindset can yield to a risk management sensibility that helps to ensure sound strategy execution.

These APQC studies offer successive best-practice methods to develop, manage, and cultivate, and refine ERM as a core management process.
