AMCF Names Mary Driscoll and Jeff Varney to 2013 AMCF Awards Panel of Judges
(Houston, Texas - November 2, 2012) - The Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF) has named APQC thought leaders Mary Driscoll and Jeff Varney to the 2013 AMCF Awards Panel of Judges. The AMCF Awards, which highlight exceptional consulting teams that have helped clients find and develop sustainable solutions for their businesses over the past year, will culminate in an awards ceremony being held February 28, 2013. Driscoll and Varney were chosen for their expertise and knowledge of management consulting within the areas of financial management and process improvement.
“We are honored to have representation by two of APQC’s thought leaders for this prestigious awards program,” said Cathy Hill, APQC Executive Director of Global Alliances. “APQC values the work being done by AMCF and its efforts to promote knowledge exchange and professional standards within the community of management consulting firms.”
Jeff Varney is a Senior Advisor within APQC’s Advisory Services group. In this role he is responsible for the implementation of business process management and process improvement projects, knowledge management, custom benchmarking, performance measurement, and performance improvement activities.
Mary Driscoll is APQC’s practice leader for financial management. In this role, she is responsible for identifying and disseminating best practices and metrics used to improve the effectiveness of the office of the CFO. Driscoll has been researching and writing about the evolving role of the CFO—and the corporate finance function—for many years.
“It’s an honor to serve on AMCF’s panel of judges. This experience lets me see what the “best and the brightest” of the management consulting industry consider to be truly innovative work,” said Mary. “Without question, by the time we get to the semi-finalists, we are looking at future trends. And that’s personally energizing.”
