Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), in concert with Singapore Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), is responsible for the Republic of Singapore's military defense. Comprised of an Army, Navy, and Air Force, SAF draws on 55,000 active personnel and 300,000 reservists, largely supported by conscription. One of SAF's goals is to constantly innovate and transform in order to remain ready to deal with evolving and complex security challenges. This presentation, given by SAF KM Office Head Kim Hai Neo at APQC's 2011 knowledge management conference, describes the process of transforming SAF into a knowledge-based organization.
