Inventory Accuracy Improves Performance on Logistics Metrics

APQC’s research shows that maintaining inventory accuracy can do much more than just preventing stock outages. Aside from lower inventory value and more satisfied customers, higher inventory accuracy is also associated with improved performance in other logistics processes, such as an increase in order fill rate, a decrease in the percentage of orders expedited, and a decrease in inventory carrying cost as a percentage of inventory value.
