Improve Accounts Payable Using the Productivity Index

In 2010, APQC, International Accounts Payable Professionals (IAPP), and PRGX conducted a study that used Open Standards Benchmarking data to determine the characteristics of highly productive accounts payable (AP) functions. Through this research, the AP productivity index was developed. It combines relevant metrics to measure the overall effectivness and efficiency of AP functions. This report explains how to use the productivity index, what a top performing organization looks like, and what the research findings indicate about how AP performance can be improved.
