Open Standards Benchmarking Assessments

You need to assess your key organizational processes deep enough to identify specific activities that require improvement. The Open Standards Benchmarking assessments provide you with that ability, offering peer comparisons from APQC’s worldwide database of over 1,200 measures. After you complete your assessment survey, APQC’s highly trained staff of analysts will:

  • validate your data and follow up with you if any clarification is needed, and
  • prepare and send you a report of the data points you provided compared with those of the most relevant peer groups from the world’s largest performance measurement database.

Our data are always up-to-date and normalized by our analysts in the areas featured in the table below. Each survey has its own dedicated page. From the survey's page you can:

  • enter the APQC Benchmarking Portal to continue assessments you’ve already started, manage your benchmarking activities, or get detailed instructions;
  • start benchmarking immediately by clicking on one of the assessments listed;
  • view a sample report; and
  • view sample survey questions.

The participation causes us to reflect on what we do. Not only does it force us to think about what we do, and push ourselves, but it also gives us an opportunity to learn from others.

Should you have unique reporting requirements beyond the standard benchmarking report you will receive, special reports can be generated by our staff of analysts.

We have other ways of supporting your performance assessment needs, as well. Consider a Rapid Performance Assessment or Benchmarks on Demand.

For information on how to complete the surveys, please enter the Benchmarking Portal.

Note that all benchmarking information is housed in APQC’s Benchmarking Portal. Participation for APQC members is free.  For more information see our fee schedule for Open Standards Benchmarking participation.  You will be required to set up a user name and password separate from your regular APQC profile. Be sure to enter your Benchmarking Portal log-in information when prompted to do so during benchmarking survey activities.  Read our Terms of Use and Notices for Open Standards Benchmarking.  View a select list of participants of these surveys.  View list by industry type.
