2012 KM Conference Overview
2012 Knowledge Management Conference and Training Recap
This year's conference has concluded. Thank you to all of our attendees and speakers for making this a fabulous event.
APQC’s annual knowledge management conference and training event provides an opportunity for practitioners to learn from and network with one another, discover how colleagues in different industries and functions are solving the same problems, and make connections that will help them improve processes and practices down the road.

This year more than 250 experts and practitioners gathered to explore the latest developments in KM. APQC President Carla O’Dell kicked off the event with a bang by laying out three trends transforming KM: the consumerization of IT, knowledge sharing through social media, and the use of analytical tools to make sense of large amounts of data. Read a summary of Carla O’Dell’s keynote and view the slides from her presentation.
APQC’s KM Advanced Working Group (AWG) picked up on O’Dell’s third trend—analytics—when it presented its findings later in the day. The AWG unveiled a new process called Knowledge AnalyticsSM for analyzing KM approaches and using the results to improve business decision making.
In addition to the new ideas presented by APQC and the KM AWG, more than a dozen organizations shared their KM success stories with our audience. To learn more about the state of KM at Merck, Chevron, Deloitte, Toro, Schlumberger, and others, check out the presentations in APQC's 2012 Knowledge Management Conference Collection. Please check back often as we will continue to add more content to this collection.
